Setting The Contact Times In Eclipse Timer With3 Easy Steps
1. Tap a Time Button 2. Scroll to the Date and Time 3. Tap OK
To set the Contact Times you tap the appropriate Time button. They are labeled Time 1, Time 2, Max/Mid, Time 3 and Time 4. The above example demonstrates setting 4th Contact, using the Time 4 button, to bring up the Set Time 4 activity box. The Set Time activity box will be displayed and you scroll through the date and time by placing the curser in the appropriate position and using the + and - scroll buttons. When the correct date and time are entered you tap OK and the time data will be displayed in six digit format on the interface under the appropriate Contact Time. This data is also automatically entered into the Observation Data Sheet. And the data becomes part of a time data file (ETD file). So if you save the file, you can re-opened it later and all the times are re-entered into the timer for you. It is essential that you enter the correct date for a Contact Time, if that Contact Time is across midnight compared to the previous Contact Times. This can occur when timing nighttime events such as Lunar eclipses, Jupiter moon transits or occultation's by the Moon.
